Tavush is one of the provinces (marz) of Armenia. It is in the north-east of the country, bordering Georgia and Azerbaijan. Its capital is Ijevan situated in the northern part of the region. It is the most popualated city in the area.. It surrounds two exclaves of Azerbaijan.
