Dhaka Division is an administrative division within Bangladesh. The capital and largest city is Dhaka. The division covers an area of 31,119.97 km², and has a population of 38,678,000 (2000). Dhaka Division bounds the Indian state of Meghalaya to the north, Barisal and Chittagong Divisions on the south, Sylhet and Chittagong Divisions to the east, Rajshahi and Khulna Divisions to the west.

Netrokona District is situated in the northern part of Bangladesh. Near the Himalayan border.
Economy
The economy of Netrokona is largely agrarian. People make a living out of agriculture and fisheries. There are also many brick fields.
Places of interest
There are many interesting places in Netrakona. Durgapur, near the Indo-Bangla border, is a good tourist spot. The Garo Pahar is situated there and people observe time-honored traditions. People living in Netrakona's mountains are the ancestors of the Upo Jatis. Khaliyajuri is a place dominated by waterways; the small villages are organised into "islands" and radio communications are poor. The heart of Netrakona is Atpara, home of the great lawmaker Nurul Amin Talukder, and known for its rice and fish.
